The Swim School of Denver has been such a gift to our family!!! We tried 4 other attempts at swim lessons before coming to The Swim School of Denver. This teaching staff has the perfect combination of warmth and high expectations, with a focus on safety. Both of my kids have thrived here. The scheduling website is a breeze, and Cheryl had gone out of her way to help make sure we use up our makeup tokens!! Thank you, Cheryl and team!!

We’ve had a wonderful experience with Denver Divers Swim School. The program is organized, welcoming, and truly focused on helping kids feel confident and safe in the water.
A special thank you to Cheryl, the director, who runs such a thoughtful and well-structured program. You can tell a lot of care goes into how the school is organized and how families are supported.
Our swim coach, Megan, has been fantastic. She is patient, encouraging, and wonderful with kids. We especially appreciate how patient she is with our son on days when he’s not as excited about swimming or wants to test boundaries. Megan stays calm, consistent, and keeps realistic expectations while gently following through with directions and the skills they’re working on. Her steady and encouraging approach has made such a difference.
We’re so grateful for the positive environment they’ve created and highly recommend Denver Divers to families looking for quality swim instruction. 🏊♀️

My kids took their first snorkel lesson today with Rito. They said he was the best teacher they had ever had. My son (8) said that he felt like the whole point of the lesson was just to have fun and explore he had never had a lesson like that! He definitely learned a lot and was doing great by the end of his lesson. My daughter (6) was apprehensive about the lesson at first but warmed up after a few minutes and loved it. They can’t wait to do another one and join the monthly group snorkels. Thank you Rito and Denver Divers for the best day!

We had a great weekend taking the open water diving course at Denver Divers, and Harris and Rito were a great instructor team. We had a mix of adults and kids in our group and they were able to keep us all interested and on track. We had tons of pool time and plenty of time to practice everything repeatedly. The weekend went by in a flash and we were even able to add in Nitrox training. Harris and Rito are both very accomplished divers and have traveled extensively which gave me a lot of confidence in them (and the added benefit of great travel info during breaks). The shop has great gear and the staff are very helpful with fitting and deciding what to buy. We now get unlimited pool practice and then on to certification dives in Gand Cayman!

Denver Divers was the perfect place for us to get prepped for our open water certification. The weekend class was thorough and well suited for adults and juniors alike.
The staff is very knowledgeable and their program outline is really geared for success. From going to the orientation, to doing the weekend pool class, to the Monday night practice sessions (build confidence), to ensuring you have a open water dive plan ready for your final certification step – they are so helpful and organized in making the goal of scuba diving attainable!
Our group is now certified and ready to get our first scuba adventure booked!
Things I liked best:
– Orientation/mask fitting and online self-paced materials done well in advance of the pool class.
– Patience of the instructors in the pool.
– Availability and friendliness of all the staff.
– Getting the pool class done in one weekend.
Things to be prepared for:
– plan for your open water dives within a month of the class (keep knowledge fresh); plus sometimes it take a bit of coordinating back/forth to get the cert dives scheduled.
– attend a Monday night practice after your class, it really helps with confidence.
– consider if you might want to purchase gear after your class. It helps if you’ve already planned for it in your budget.
