Goodson Recreation Center

Very disappointing! What happened to this place? My grand daughter, 5, was sent home 5 minutes into the class! The instructor was rude and handled the situation with disgust and blame!

Attended a gymnastics birthday party today—-2nd one we’ve been to here at Goodson in roughly 8 months.

They were both hosted/lead by Riley, who was 100% behind making them so enjoyable! She truly deserves the highest of accolades—She’s fantastic with the kiddos; has a presence that encourages excitement, and can still get them to rally to listen, cooperate, and happily engage in the segments requiring group participation. (She has mastered herding cats in a fun way—a rare skill!)

Equally—if not more—impressively is her ability to handle the “difficult” parents (nicely put) with grace, not allowing it to reflect in her interaction with the kids. I personally would wind up completely disconnected & internally fuming, lol.

Y’all REALLY want to keep her on staff! I know everyone always writes this lol, but she truly should be getting raises regularly!

**ALSO I don’t know her name, but the other party hostess is wonderful as well!!

I recommend the gymnastics parties here, and I’d request Riley if it’s an option!

Six must be the age for gymnastics parties, because we’ve now attended two others at rec centers across the city… and hosted our own at Goodson.

This one was by far the best. The gymnastics hosts were absolute pros: high-energy, organized, and somehow capable of herding 18 six-year-olds without losing their minds. We added the party room for an hour afterward, which was perfect for pizza, cake, and catching our breath.

With 18 kids in attendance, I can confidently report that every single one of them was smiling the entire time. No meltdowns, no boredom, just nonstop flipping, food, laughing, and happy chaos. Would 100% do this again.
