Been coming here for about 2 years. For the younger kids, def not a legitimate gymnastics place. So if that’s what you’re interested in, I would look else where. I pay for my child to run and jump around basically. She started out in the baby class but as she’s 5 now, It’s gotten pointless. for the most part, the instructors are young and could care less about engaging fully with the kids. So I’d agree with what other reviews have had to say to this. It’s been too many times where the younger instructors are just dozing off and yawning all over the place during our morning weekend classes. On a good day, there will be one fully engaged instructor actually teaching the kids moves on the bars and actively helping them. Meaning hands on. There’s Lots of potential but I think it begins with the instructors lacking interest in what they’re doing. This place is simply OK.

My son 5 years old is doing Ninja class. But the long hair instructor not really care. Letting the kids at their own very often. Not giving instructions to the kids. While kids are excited and waiting to have fun. I complained about it to the manager Lisa. She was rude. she told me well take him out.i said really just like that easy. That is not the answer I wanted. The instructor Dominic approach to me saying explain to him what was my complain about . I told him that I seen that he do not put the kids to Do activities. He said if kids do not listen he won’t put the kids To Do activities and if he want he can let the kids be by their own the whole hour. I said that is not right punished the whole class for a couple kids that don’t listen. These people in this place are wrong. I DO NOT RECOMMEND YMCA GYMNASTICS. THEY ARE SO RUDE. AND DO NOT CARE ABOUT THE YMCA MEMBERS.

For the 5-10 year old age group I brought my daughter at 5yo. The young (20ish year old) instructors didn’t seem enthusiastic or give much instruction to this age group who need a lot of attention to feel included and successful. My wife and I gave it a month and weren’t impressed. City of Lakewood and Long Beach programs were much more inviting for my child.

This is not for professional gymnists but it’s a place where my granddaughter can go and learn fundamentals by college students, I hope my granddaughter will be able to work here when she is ready to go to college. I would and have suggested this to others. The staff were always friendly and did their best to help you.

I’m going to be very honest.
My daughter is in the mini gym group and there are small children in the group. They do not have people trained to teach children of that age and they even have the course open. I understand that because they are small they are more extroverted and hyperactive but you also expect that as a big company they should have teachers who have the ability to teach toddler since the monthly payment is also a high price. Especially this girl in the video should not be put to teach toddler. I recommend that if you are looking for a group for your toddler, you better wait or search another place because it is not a good place.
