The four rec centers are fantastic! We have both indoor and outdoor pools, and there are always plenty of lifeguards around, which makes it feel very safe.

I haven’t really used the gyms yet, but the variety of amenities and activities across all four facilities is amazing. There’s a climbing wall, the simulator at Southridge, racquetball courts at Northridge, outdoor tennis courts, and much more. With so many options available, you can easily stay active and keep yourself entertained without ever having to leave the community. It’s definitely one of the best perks of living here.

Don’t let this place fool you. They don’t offer day passes or passes for people that don’t have an hoa in Highlands Ranch. So if you live in an apartment, they literally won’t let you in at all whatsoever. I think there’s one complex that they’ve “approved” but otherwise it’s complete classist BS. Who has ever heard of a community rec center that operates like an exclusive country club. It’s just wrong in so many ways. They were not particularly friendly about it either. It gave “what are YOU doing here? ” kind of vibes. Unless you can afford a million dollar home in the area, don’t bother.

Clean, friendly staff and not too busy. Shem had some indoor rock climbing with training on how to climb.

If you’re looking for a great personal trainer, I highly recommend Cassie Hopwood. She helped me get rid of my chronic back pain and build a strong core. I feel 20 years younger and stronger now!

This rec center has both an indoor and outdoor pool, and both are very kid friendly. The indoor pool has a shallow entry and is only 3 feet at the deepest end. The outdoor area has plenty of chairs as well as grass and shade around the pool. There are fully stocked vending machines in case you forget your snacks. The playground on the northeast side is also cool. It has a sandbox and a nice play structure as well as covered picnic tables. There is also a grill. There are trees around it that also provide shade.
