We took dance lessons with Brandon for our first dance at our wedding and had such a great experience! We learned so much about country swing and dancing that we can’t wait to take into future dance halls. We left feeling so confident and loved all the fun elements and surprises we added into our dance. Brandon was an amazing teacher, made us feel super comfortable, and made the whole process fun and easy. Highly recommend if you want to spice up your first dance and create something memorable for your wedding. Thanks Brandon, we appreciate you so much!

Excellent experience learning our first dance for our wedding! Great communication for scheduling, good time availability, and Carlos was a fabulous instructor! Made us feel really confident when we had very little dancing experience before these lessons.

I found this place on Google and feel like I won the lottery. I had no dance background. I wanted to learn to move my body and hopefully meet some nice people along the way. From the first phone call and first trial private lesson and beginner classes, the staff and dancers were welcoming, friendly, helpful, and encouraging. Sarah and Julia are so kind and helpful with answering questions, scheduling, you name it. I made it through that first 2-week trial dancing in my tennis shoes and kept going. I’m now in my second year and joined a competition team. It’s incredible to learn and grow stronger from top-level professionals and all ages and stages dancers. I also fully appreciate the body positivity and the overall community sense of Colorado DanceSport. I take weekly lessons with Carlos whom everyone adores. I add in styling lessons with Julia or social/club lessons with Brandon. Some of my favorite classes are ladies formation with Madalina, club styles and ballroom with Brandon, and west coast swing with Shannon. And the most fun class is the Friday night country class with Faith. Plus once a month there is a free ballroom social. One of the deciding factors for me is I can also take exercise classes here. Every week, I prioritize the functional core class with Julie and the pilates floor class with Kit. I’m hoping to add LaBlast to my schedule. I’m so grateful I’m getting stronger and building an amazing community!

This is by far the most incredible dance studio. No matter what your skill or interest level is, it is a welcoming environment with the very best instructors anywhere.

If you have an interest in learning to dance whether it be to learn to social dance, or dance at weddings or maybe you think that competing would be a challenge or maybe you want to get more active and keep your brain healthier by learning a new skill, give this place a try, you won’t regret it.

Colorado Dancesport and the students there will become like a second family and they lots of opportunities to try like group classes, showcases and more.

I have been here for almost 20 years and can’t imagine not being a part of this amazing facility of experienced instructors and dance family.

My husband and I wanted to learn some ballroom dance basics to use in our first dance for our wedding, and we found this amazing studio. The price of their beginners package is unbeatable! We worked with Shawna and truly cannot say enough good things about her! We loved her so much that both my parents and my husband’s parents ended up taking lessons with her, too! It was really fun to take lessons with my dad so we could practice our father-daughter dance. Pretty much everyone in my family was initially a little nervous about the idea of dancing in front of other people, and Shawna very quickly put those worries to rest by showing us how fun and easy dancing can be. What I really love about her teaching style is that she breaks the concepts down into bite-sized pieces that are really easy to understand, apply, and practice. She also shares the “why” behind why it’s easier or more natural to do a move in a certain way, which makes it more fluid and easy to remember. Her pacing never felt rushed and was so perfect for us as beginners! I had found a few “advanced moves” that I thought would be beautiful to incorporate into our first dance, but had no idea how to do them (and was doubtful our skill level would allow it!) but Shawna easily broke those moves down, too, and showed us exactly how to do them. Before we knew it, we had a fully choreographed first dance, full of moves we both felt comfortable doing – and we actually looked elegant doing them! I am so thankful to Shawna for the fun experience, and the gift of feeling so confident during our first dance, father-daughter dance, and mother-son dance on our wedding night. We will definitely be coming back for more lessons as a fun date night!
